ROSC Gives Back!

 

We granted Americans Working Around the Globe funds to support their area seminar on November 14th.

Funding went to RHS Junior Class Student Council at RHS to help with costs for their prom!

In February, the Grants Team had a fun morning handing out a check for Maintenance Professional of the Year!

ROSC Grants Committee members present a check to benefit the Ramstein High School Class of 2021.

Ramstein High School Class of 2022 received funding to rent a tent for the Junior/Senior Prom.

Kaiserslautern Middle School received $500 toward their 2021-2022 student planners.

Sharon Work & Dawn Werner, ROSC Grants Chair & Committee Member for Base Agencies, presented a check for $1000 to the Deployment Transition Center. MSgt Andrew Estacion accepted the check on their behalf. The Deployment Transition Center serves 2000-3000 deployed troops each year, easing their transition mentally, physically, and emotionally and preparing them to return to their home station.

ROSC presented Landstuhl Fisher House with a $15,000 check! This money helps with the operating costs and day-to-day cost of Fisher House 1 and Fisher House 2. 

We have given money to our K9 for Veterans to help support the cost of bringing Izzy over to help our service members.

The Ramstein High School Model United Nations team received funding to participate in the February 2022 Summit.

ROSC Grants Chair Sharon Work presents a check to SSgt Tamara Norwood.

SSgt Norwood represents the 86 MDG Top 3, who will use the funds for a Combat Dining Out. The Ramstein Med Group has worked hard and flexed to meet community needs during long months of the pandemic.

LtCol Kenneth Sterling, Deployment Transition Center (DTC) Commander, presents ROSC Welfare Chair, Sharon Work, with a certificate of appreciation for the assistance ROSC has given the DTC over the years.

We gave to Cub Scout Pack 69 to help them have a fun time in Normandy for their Camporee trip.

The Ramstein High School Class of 2021 received funding for their portable graduation packs (drawstring backpacks to hold their diploma and mementos).

Eagle Scout William Miller accepts a check on behalf of Scouts BSA Troop 12 from ROSC Welfare Chair, Sharon Work. The funds helped offset the costs for building shelter structures, planting trees, and providing dog toys to improve the experience for dogs and families at the Ramstein AB Dog Park.

The Ramstein AB Dog Park, after William's contributions. It is already being enjoyed by patrons with their dogs! William will continue to work on dog park improvements long after his project is complete, by regularly watering the trees he planted and replenishing the dog toy supply.
