Please fill out the ROSC Grants Application Form as completely and in as much detail as possible. Additional justification may be added to a blank second page.

  • Checks will not be made payable to individuals. Please verify that your organization can accept funds in the form of a check prior to making the request. Checks must be written to a private organization.  

  • The deadline dates for this year are:

    January 10, 2024

    February 14, 2024

    March 13, 2024

    April 10, 2024

    May 8, 2024

    August 14, 2024

    September 11, 2024

    October 9, 2024

    November 1, 2024 (deadline for base affiliated organizations applying for funds for holiday parties.

    November 13, 2024 — This is the last day of the year to submit grant applications.

  • The process can take 30-60 days from the submission deadlines mentioned above. On average, the process can take more than 45 days to complete.

  • The Grants Committee does not meet in June or December. 

  • Your organization will be notified when a final decision has been made. Some applications require approval of the ROSC Governing Board or ROSC General Membership. Requests will not be reviewed for approval until this date. 

  • — How will the money benefit the community?

    — What are the long-term benefits of this donation?

    — Has there been an effort to raise funds on their own?

    — How many people will benefit from this donation?

    — Will this donation represent the sole source for an organization’s operating budget?

    — Have funds been received from other organizations?

  • If an application has already been considered and declined, the application may not be resubmitted in the same calendar/board year (Jan. – Dec.).

Important Notes about Authorizations: 

  • Applications from any teacher or organization within DoDDs Schools must be authorized by the Principal of that school and include their email address. 

  • Scout requests require Troop/Pack leader authorization and the inclusion of their email address. 

  • Military organizations require the unit Commander or Deputy Commander’s authorization and inclusion of their email address. 

  • Private organizations must have the authorization of the President or leader of that organization and the inclusion of their email address. 

  • Booster Clubs must have the authorization of the Booster Club President or leader of that organization and include their email address.
