Grants Chair
Reports to: VP of Community Outreach
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for overseeing the Grants Committee, which serves the purpose of researching and reviewing ROSC grant applications in accordance with ROSC’s goal of providing monetary assistance to organizations for tangible, lasting benefits and services, with an impact on as many people as possible.
Principal Accountabilities:
Attend respective monthly Governing Board meetings (not to miss more than three (3) board meetings in a term year).
Attend monthly membership meeting.
Submit a monthly consolidated report to Recording Secretary on time to include monthly expenditures.
Ensure budget is maintained.
Prepare a revised or current job description to the Parliamentarian by mid-year.
Show respect and represent the ROSC in the community with high standards.
Submit an after-action report and timeline to the incoming President and Parliamentarian by the deadline set by the Parliamentarian.
Oversee Grants Committee, which consists of six (6) committee members, to include the advisor, who are separated into different organizations.
Distribute grant applications to committee members so that they may research and evaluate the grant applications.
Conduct a committee meeting at the end of the month to objectively review and vote on the monthly applications.
Present a monthly report of committee-approved applications over Grants Guidelines threshold to the Governing Board for voting.
Notify the Grants Treasurer of the approved applications so the organizations may be paid.
Notify organizations that they have either been approved, denied, or tabled. Hold office hours for organizations with approved applications to pick up their donation checks.
Responsible for keeping track of each application in the Google drive and making sure to document any and all activity for Grants.
Responsible for being attentive to all correspondence directed to the Grants Committee and responding in a timely manner with applicant Point of Contacts (POCs) regarding the application process and disposition.
Review and track all grant applications.
