Position Overview:
Responsible for oversight of the ROSC General Operating Fund. Creates and upholds the budget, including line items, to help keep ROSC running smoothly.
Principal Accountabilities:
Attend all Executive and Governing Board meetings and all ROSC social functions.
Meet with the President to discuss suggestions for the upcoming budget for the organization and present to the Executive Board at the first scheduled meeting of the new Board year.
Present the proposed budget at the first Governing Board meeting. Upon board approval, present to the General Membership for vote.
Receive and disburse all funds belonging to the ROSC General Fund account.
Shall obtain two signatures for any check over $500.00 and one signature for any check $500.00 or less.
Seek General Membership approval on amendments to the approved General Fund Budget that exceed $3,000.00.
Responsible for ensuring the annual renewal of Bonding and General Liability Insurance Policies.
Maintain a record of all receipts and expenditures.
Record all transactions by using the voucher system.
Prepare and distribute a monthly financial statement to the Governing Board; the financial statement should include a record of receipts and expenditures for that month in addition to a year-to-date budget comparison report.
Reconcile bank account statements each month.
Work with the Office Administrator to facilitate the billing and recording of membership dues.
Work with the Vice President of Operations to facilitate the receipt and payments of the bills for all social functions.
Deliver via email, an electronic copy of the monthly General Fund financial statement to the President who will then send to Board members to be used at the monthly board meeting(s).
Deliver an electronic or paper copy of the annual audit to the President and respective treasurers of the organization (Community Grants/Ramstein Bazaar/Scholarships)
Shall organize and obtain signature cards from the bank for the incoming Board immediately following the completion of his/her term.
Maintain copies of financial reports for seven years.
Responsible for the annual renewal for all ROSC Post Office Boxes.
Submit an after-action report as directed by Parliamentarian
