Vice President of Operations

Reports to: President

Position Overview:

Responsible for assisting the ROSC President with oversight of events scheduling and oversees the following Governing Board Positions: Activities, Events, Historian, Public Affairs, Reservations, Ways and Means, and Technology Officer.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Attend all Executive and Governing Board meetings, Welcome Coffees, and all ROSC social functions.

  • Submit all monthly or annual reports as stated in bylaws.

  • Maintain ROSC Vice President of Operations Google drive/email account.

  • Together with the VP of Community Outreach, assume the duties of the President in the President’s absence.

  • Have signatory authority for the disbursal of funds with the Treasurers.

  • Help maintain an accurate inventory of all properties owned by ROSC.

  • Supervise/assist the following Governing Board positions:

    • Activities Chair

    • Events Chair (including Catering contracts)

    • Historian

    • Public Affairs

    • Reservations Chair

    • Ways and Means Chair

    • Technology Officer

Serve as a member of the Constitution and Bylaws, and Policies Revisions Committee.

  • Monitor all recurring bills for renewal dates and coordinate payment with the General Fund Treasurer to ensure uninterrupted service (e.g., emails, domains, hosting).

  • Under the guidance and direction of the President, assist with the duties of any absent Executive Board positions.

  • Submit an after-action report by the deadline set by the Parliamentarian.

  • Ensure the budget is maintained.
