Way and Means Chair

Reports to:  VP of Operations

POSITION OVERVIEW:  

Responsible for generating income for the ROSC General Fund.  This is accomplished primarily by purchasing raffle prizes and selling tickets at the monthly social meetings and during the annual ROSC Bazaar. 

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Attend respective monthly Executive and/or Governing Board meetings (not to miss more than three (3) board meetings in a term year). 

  • Attend monthly membership meeting. 

  • Submit a monthly consolidated report to Recording Secretary on time to include monthly expenditures. 

  • Ensure budget is maintained. 

  • Prepare a revised or current job description to the Parliamentarian by mid-year. 

  • Show respect and represent the ROSC in the community with high standards. 

  • Submit an after-action report and timeline to the incoming President and Parliamentarian by the deadline set by the Parliamentarian. 

  • Organize and execute Fundraising Events:

    • Purchase drawing prizes for each monthly social, usually three-four prizes per social.

    • Setup a table at the social meetings and sell raffle tickets.

    • Ensure only ROSC members in good standing (dues paid in full and no outstanding debts) are eligible to make purchases from Ways and Means and to win drawings at monthly social functions.

  • Submit a monthly activity report to include:

    • Financial transactions:  drawing sales and expenses

    • Upcoming Projects: drawing prizes for socials

    • Ongoing Projects:  paraphernalia sales and inventory status

    • Hours worked:  Track and update monthly records

  • Organize and maintain a Ways and Means Raffle Prize table at the annual ROSC bazaar. 

    • Solicit volunteers to work 

    • Ensure money and door prize tickets are secured during the bazaar.

  • Submit applications for permits (fund-raising and raffles) to 86th Force Support Squadron.

  • Maintain a continuity book and electronic file of monthly Ways and Means activities and business transactions.
