Events Chair
Reports to: VP of Operations
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for scheduling and coordinating all ROSC events.
Principal Accountabilities:
Attend respective monthly Governing Board meetings (not to miss more than three (3) board meetings in a term year).
Attend monthly membership meeting.
Submit a monthly consolidated report to Recording Secretary on time to include monthly expenditures.
Ensure budget is maintained.
Prepare a revised or current job description to the Parliamentarian by the mid- year board meeting.
Show respect and represent the ROSC in the community with high standards.
Submit an after-action report and timeline to the incoming President and Parliamentarian by the deadline set by the Parliamentarian.
Position Duties and Significant Details:
At the request of the Treasurer, submits input during the mid-year budget review.
Participates in a planning meeting prior to the board changeover to discuss the upcoming year’s social and board meeting calendar.
Completes After Action reports at the conclusion of monthly social functions, to be maintained the ROSC notebook, indication event attendance, menus, etc., noting, in particular, any problems with the function.
Keep Publicity Chair and Historian aware of program details for all ROSC functions.
Keep ROSC notebook up-to-date through the term of office.
Advise the Corresponding Secretary of any necessary thank you messages to be sent, as appropriate.
Coordinates with the presiding officer (President or 1st Vice-President in the President’s absence) at the monthly ROSC social functions appropriate introductions for guests.
With the catering office at the Officer’s Club, coordinates and arranges menus, room reservations, table linens, etc. for the monthly ROSC social functions.
Purchases items for table centerpieces and door prizes at the monthly ROSC social.
Purchase prizes for two annual bingos, in April and November.
